Malaika Arora

Malaika Arora, the epitome of Bollywood glamour and fitness, has solidified her status as a dedicated advocate of wellness over the years. With a massive following of 18.8 million on Instagram, the model, actor, and VJ regularly shares glimpses of her yoga journey. In her latest post, she showcased her expertise in wall yoga, demonstrating over 10 poses with finesse.

The video features Arora gracefully executing a variety of poses, including the extended triangle pose, straight plank, low plank, and more, all utilizing a simple wall for support. Emphasizing simplicity in practice, she proves that one doesn’t need elaborate equipment to engage in yoga; a wall and a deep understanding of the practice are ample.

Clad in a sleek black sports bralette and biker shorts, Arora radiates fitness and vitality, defying age at 50. Alongside the video, she shares an inspiring mantra: “Sky above, earth below, peace within.” Garnering over 53,000 likes since its May 1 release, the post drew admiration from followers, with one expressing a desire to emulate her practice under her guidance.

In a candid interview with The Statesman in 2021, Arora disclosed her daily fitness regimen, highlighting yoga as her preferred exercise, committing at least 60 minutes to it each day. She starts her mornings with a yoga session before diversifying her routine with activities like HIIT, walking, running, and swimming. Despite her dedication to fitness, Arora maintains a balanced approach to nutrition, indulging in moderation and honoring her body’s needs.

Arora’s passion for yoga extends beyond personal practice; she co-founded Diva Yoga studio, with branches in Mumbai and Chennai. Reflecting on her journey with yoga and the inspiration behind the studio, she shares, “My introduction to yoga stemmed from a past injury, deepening my connection to it over time. Joining Diva Yoga aligns with my fitness philosophy and my desire to create a space dedicated to women’s wellness.”
